Americans Spell Out Their National Pride in Detroit
An estimated two out of three Americans do not know the words to the "Star-Spangled Banner," according to a recent poll. To raise awareness of the U.S. national anthem, more than 300 Chrysler Group employees dressed in white Jeep T-shirts and formed the first five words, "O say, can you see," on the on the lawn of DaimlerChrysler's Auburn Hills headquarters.
Along with several other sponsors, the Jeep® brand is participating in the multi-year National Anthem Project: Restoring America's Voice – an education initiative aimed at re-teaching Americans the national anthem. The 50-city nationwide tour will be in Detroit from July 7-9.
