DaimlerChrysler UK has given its support to the British International Motor Show 2006 by confirming its presence at next summer’s exhibition, including Dodge which enters the UK market in July.

Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Mercedes Car Group will be exhibiting at London’s ExCeL centre, giving show visitors a chance to see the very latest from the company.

Wilfried Steffen, President and CEO of DaimlerChrysler UK, said: “The Motor Show has always been an important shop window for what’s new and exciting in the motor industry. We are proud to be present with our brands - giving thousands of visitors first-class access to DaimlerChrysler products and services.

“We will be celebrating our forthcoming Mercedes-Benz World at Brooklands development on the Mercedes Car Group stand,” Mr Steffen added, “by showcasing what visitors to our incredible new facility can expect when it opens later in the year.”

Commenting on the UK show premiere of the legendary Dodge brand, Simon Elliott, Managing Director Chrysler Group explained: “The launch of Dodge is going to be the big news of 2006, and alongside Chrysler and Jeep brands the British Motor Show is a world-class platform for people to discover Dodge for themselves. The new Caliber family hatch and the awesome Ram SRT-10 pick-up truck will both appeal to a broad range of customers. It’s a new brand with the added benefit of an established, expert dealer network.”

Dermot Kelly, Managing Director Mercedes Car Group added: “Mercedes-Benz has previously used the British exhibition in an innovative way, and this year’s show is no different. 2006 is an important year for the company, with significant model introductions and the opening of Mercedes-Benz World at Brooklands. This means our stand will be even more eye-catching than before.”

Full details of exhibits and models on display at the show will be announced later in the year.
