Millions saw Mini-Volvo XC90 at the European Athletic Championships
Over eight million TV viewers across Europe watched the remote control 1:5 scale model Volvo XC90 collect javelins, discuses and hammers for the athletes at the European Athletic Championships in Gothenburg last week. The radio-controlled mini-Volvo had a two horsepower electric motor capable of 12mph and transported either four discuses, three javelins or two hammers – a load of at least 14kg!
Volvo also loaned 70 cars to the Swedish Athletic Association during the championships and over 300 athletes and VIPs took part in a Volvo test drive event in Gothenburg.
