New Peugeot 207 prices announced (UK)

The 207 will be available at launch as either a three or five door hatchback, but will be joined later by other body styles as the range evolves. A range of five trim levels – Urban, S, Sport, SE and GT – will be available powered by one of six engine options, all fitted with a five speed manual gearbox.

Safety is a strong point of the 207 with the highest overall score in Euro NCAP for a supermini of: 5 stars for occupant protection, 3 stars for pedestrian impact protection and 4 stars for child occupant protection. The 207 is also one of the first cars designed to meet the new European directive for pedestrian impact protection.

The 207 also has two distinctive looks, the "Classic" look available on the Urban, S and SE models and the "Sport" look available on the Sport and GT.

The 207 will see many future developments over the coming years, including innovations in terms of high-tech engines and equipment (Stop and Start), new body styles, to mention but a few. Before the end of 2006, two new engines developed as part of the partnership between PSA Peugeot Citroën and the BMW Group will make their first appearance in the 207.

The Peugeot 207 will go on sale in the UK on 8 June 2006.
