New SEAT Ibiza 2006
SEAT Dealers across the UK are putting an extra spring in their step this coming Easter weekend, as the new 2006 Ibiza goes on sale from Saturday 15th April.
The Spanish company’s most popular model boasts a host of changes compared with its highly-regarded predecessor, and is dressed to impress. Its more obviously sporty and dynamic styling is most apparent on the FR, with its new front design, larger alloy wheels (now 17"), new badges, twin exhaust pipes and more dramatic rear appearance. On top of these improved looks comes a welcome new price for the most powerful FR model – the 1.8 20V T 150 PS – which now costs £11,975 RRP on the road, compared with £12,980 for the outgoing version.

But unlike the Ibiza’s rivals, sporty looks are not just reserved for the top of the range models. Every Ibiza enjoys the benefit of the styling changes, including the entry-level 1.2 12V Reference 3-door, which offers the same fantastic value as before at £7,545.

And at the top of the range, the flagship Cupra is even greater value than previously, at £14,425 for the powerful 1.8 20V T 180 PS (compared with £15,530) and £15,370 (£15,495) for the 1.9 TDI 160 PS – the most powerful diesel supermini on the market.

The Ibiza is the best-selling SEAT model both in the UK and worldwide. When the last generation was launched in 2003, it won outright the prestigious What Car? Car of the Year award, as well as the title of Best Supermini. It then went on to come top in the Best Supermini category for the next two years.
