Tuning firm's potent new Porsche
Ruf by name, but the engineering that goes into the German firm's latest Rt12 is anything but. By fitting twin turbochargers, tuning experts at Ruf have freed up 530bhp in the Rt12's least potent form. Opt for the more extreme versions and you can choose between 560bhp and 650bhp.
This much power delivers a top speed of 212mph, or 219mph for the most powerful Rt12.

Acceleration from 0-62mph comes up in 3.7 seconds for the 530bhp model and 3.3 seconds in the full-house 650bhp version.

To cope with all of the grunt, Ruf upgrades suspension, brakes and wheels.

The suspension can be lifted electrically by 50mm more than is normal for a Porsche 911 to help the Ruf clear kerbs and sleeping policemen.

The interior is typical of the company's functional approach to everyday usability, although the dials gain the company's trademark green lettering.

Options for the Ruf Rt12 include a roll cage, four-wheel drive and colour schemes to leave your retinas in shock.

The starting price for the 530bhp is around £150,000, while the 650bhp monster kicks off at £200,000.
