THEY are the forgotten voice of British motoring, the nine million people who each year buy a used car have finally got a TV show exclusively for them.
If you are fed up with the endless TV hours devoted to cars most people will never see let alone be able to afford, then join the hundreds of thousands of viewers who have become Used Car Roadshow devotees.
The Used Car Roadshow, which is the most popular motoring show on satellite TV, is back for its second series on ITV Men and Motors on May 29th.
The new series is currently being filmed at major motoring events around the country from the Goodwood Festival of Speed to the Santa Pod Raceway.
Presenters Jason Dawe and Penny Mallory come from very different motoring backgrounds. Jason is a journalist in the Sunday Times Driving section and has worked in the motor trade for 20 years, while Penny is an ex-world rally championship driver and former presenter of Channel 4’s Driven.
Each week the intrepid duo travel the length and breadth of the country meeting people who want to buy cars, sell cars, do up cars and those who just love their cars.
Jason said: "Last series we were amazed at the thousands of people that get together every week to show of their used cars, classic cars and modified cars, it just goes to show we are a nation of car lovers."

From taking buyers to auctions and finding them top class cars at rock bottom prices to matching the buyer of the week to their dream car with a very real budget, the Used Car Roadshow doesn’t just offer car fantasies but motoring realities.
Like most motoring journalists Penny’s involvement had always been with new cars so working on the Used Car Roadshow has been a revelation. She said: ‘Like many people, I had an image of second hand cars being somehow second best. But, every week Jason comes up with some outstanding bargains and fabulous cars. I am now a complete convert."
