Accord makes UK debut at SMMT

Honda’s all-new Accord makes its UK debut at the SMMT Test Day this week. With the Accord saloon due to go on sale 1 June, the SMMT Test Day is the Accord’s first UK public reveal and an opportunity for UK writers to put it through its paces on the high-speed bowl, hill and road route.

Honda’s high-revving Civic Type R can also be taken on the bowl for a spin, and its sporty-looking brother – the Civic Type S and iconic two-seater Honda S2000 can be put to the test on the challenging hill route. Honda’s Civic Hybrid will be available to test on the SMMT’s new city course, in addition to the road route.

As well as these new cars, the Honda area is also packed with new activities this year. Journalists can put their driving abilities to the test in the Honda F1 simulator, quaff a smoothie from the bar or chill out on a Fat Boy (supersized bean bag), while reading Honda’s newspaper – The Power.
