First Porsche RS Spyder delivered to customer team

The first Porsche RS Spyder built for a customer team was delivered. The vehicle went to the US-based Dyson Racing team, which, with Porsche support, will field two of the Weissach-developed and built high-tech sports prototypes against strong competition in the 2007 American Le Mans Series. Last season Porsche swept the board with the RS Spyder, claiming all championship titles in the LMP2 category.
With twelve rounds on the 2007 calendar, the American Le Mans Series takes off on 17 March with the Sebring 12 hour race. Contesting the series again with two RS Spyders is the Porsche-supported Penske Motorsports team, who last season secured team championship honours. Before this, the traditional winter test takes place on the Florida airfield circuit from 22 to 24 January. Dyson Racing takes part in this final test, supported by Porsche engineers from Weissach, with its brand new RS Spyder.
