Ford CV share hits eight-year high
Ford's share of the UK commercial vehicle market in March has set a new record. The 10,136 Ford vans sold last month constitute a 28.8 per cent share of the market.
This result is the highest since November 2000 when Ford took 30.4 per cent of the market, and means that Ford has grown its market leadership position in March, traditionally the biggest sales month of the year. The overall market for CVs was down over 40 per cent.

Steve Kimber, commercial vehicles director, Ford of Britain said: "The sales results mean that one in every three commercial vehicles sold in March was a Ford. It is further proof that, especially in the current climate, operating costs are at the fore of everyone's mind. The Ford CV line-up is what business operators are looking for: reliability, low cost of ownership and the ability to get the job done."
