Most revealing shots yet - Mercedes E-Class convertible
In spite of the talk about the drop top Mercedes Benz’s E-Class being delayed, the car is nevertheless set to make its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor show this September. Before we could go bananas over the car's smooth lines and attractive stance, we get to have sneak peak, coutesy of our friends in Holland.
Ignore the rag top and all you can notice are the coupe's ingredients. The future E-Class convertible will be offered with a variety of power plants, the E250 CDI and E 350 CDI will be powered by a 2.1 Liter diesel four cylinder engine making 204 hp and a 3.0 Liter V6 delivering 231 HP. The E250 CGI and E350 CGI will come with a 1.8 Liter direct injection biturbo engine making 204 HP and a 3.5 Liter V6 with the same gas saving piezoelectric direct injection producing 292 HP. The top-end E500 will get a 5.5 Liter V8 making 388 HP.

The life of the AMG version isn't known, whether or not the performance wing will give birth to one is the future is a question in everybody's head. Guess we'll have to wait and see what is in store for us this September.
