A new Rolls-Royce showroom was officially opened today in Beijing by Mr Colin Kelly, the Asia Pacific Regional Director of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. This is one of five Rolls-Royce showrooms in Greater China. The new showroom is located at The Regent Hotel, Beijing on Jinbao Street, in the city’s commercial district. The spacious showroom combines traditional and modern design, reflecting Rolls-Royce brand values. A special customer room provides an exquisite and private environment for the brand’s prestigious customers.
The other showrooms in Greater China are located in Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
Mr Kelly unveiled the new Phantom Drophead Coupé at the opening, the first time the new convertible has been shown in Beijing. Also attending the ceremony were the Director of Trade and Investment for China at the British Embassy Beijing, Mr Alastair Morgan, and the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars General Manager for Greater China, Ms Jenny Zheng.
In 2007, Rolls-Royce will have a three model line-up, with the new convertible set to join the two four-door models in China in the 4th quarter of 2007. The Phantom remains the best-selling super luxury car in the world, with sales in 2006 at a 16-year-high. A new Rolls-Royce model, priced slightly below the Phantom, will be launched around the turn of the decade.
