SEAT's new saloon will be called ‘EXEO’

The name of SEAT’s new entrant in the important upper-medium market (whose protagonists include the Ford Mondeo and Vauxhall Vectra) is today revealed as ‘EXEO’. Pronounced ‘Ex-ay-o’, the newcomer is scheduled to go on sale in 2009, and is a prime example of the Spanish brand’s intention to expand into new market segments.
The SEAT EXEO is an elegant, dynamic saloon boasting exceptionally high quality and outstanding technology which together accurately reflect SEAT’s personality – design, sportiness and liveliness.

Faithful to SEAT’s Mediterranean roots, the new designation stems from the Latin word exire, which means ‘to go beyond’ or ‘to go further’. The name differs from all other current SEAT model denominations, and is symbolic of the beginning of a new period for the company. The successful names of SEAT’s current models will be maintained.
