Tesla Roadster Wins Prestigious Design Award

This month Tesla Motors received a prestigious Gold International Design Excellence Award from the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) and BusinessWeek. “The Tesla Roadster represents the best mix of innovation, environmental care and style. Definitely the kind of product new consumers are willing to try,” said Franco Lodato, an IDSA judge and Managing Director at design firm Pininfarina Extra USA. With more than 3,300 members and 28 chapters, IDSA is the voice of the industrial design profession, advancing the quality and positive impact of design.
