During the L.A. Auto Show, Volkswagen unveiled its Concept Tiguan, a sports utility vehicle (SUV). The vehicle, which features 19-inch tires developed by Continental, is powered by "Clean TDI" – a diesel engine that is designed to reduce emissions. "Clean TDI" is the first component of the uniform label, BLUETEC, and was initiated by Audi, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen specifically for the L.A. Auto Show. BLUETEC denotes diesel drives that comply with the most rigid emissions regulations in the U.S. The Concept Tiguan is scheduled to be released at the end of 2007.
