Volkswagen Tiguan awarded class-leading insurance rating

The new Volkswagen Tiguan has been awarded a class-leading insurance rating by Thatcham and the Association of British Insurers (ABI). When sales start early next year the new Tiguan will be placed in insurance group nine making it the least expensive vehicle to insure in its class. This low insurance rating combined with the Tiguan’s three-year warranty, 12-year body protection warranty, the option of flexible servicing and free Volkswagen Assistance for the first year work to reduce the cost of ownership and provide peace of mind.
The Tiguan was recently awarded a maximum five-star rating for occupant protection by the Euro NCAP crash testing agency and is fitted with six airbags, ABS, Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP) and ASR traction control as standard.
Marking Volkswagen’s entry into the compact 4x4 market the Tiguan is powered by a choice of advanced 1.4-litre TSI petrol or 2.0-litre TDI diesel engines at launch. The Tiguan can be fitted with the innovative ParkAssist self-parking system as well as a reversing camera and the latest generation of touchscreen satellite navigation systems.
Prices for the Tiguan will start at £19,370 for the 1.4-litre TSI ‘S’ model, rising to £23,300 for the range-topping 2.0 TDI Escape model.
