Volvo celebrates 80th Anniversary with Volvo Marque Day
Eighty years ago the first Volvo car, the ÖV4 ‘Jakob’, left the factory in Gothenburg, Sweden and to mark this occasion, Volvo Car UK is hosting a Volvo Marque Day celebration on Sunday 2 September. All Volvo enthusiasts, drivers, family and friends are invited to join the celebrations which take place at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
Thanks to the outstanding facilities on offer at the Heritage Motor Centre party goers will have the chance to take the XC90 through a specially designed all-wheel drive course as well as the opportunity to experience a selection of Volvo’s current models around the circuit. Guests can also take advantage of free access to the newly refurbished Heritage Motor Centre Museum.
The event will run from 10am through until 5pm and entry is free for all Volvo drivers and children under five and they can just turn up on the day. Non-Volvo drivers and guests can pick up discounted advanced tickets from £8 for adults, £6 for under 16 year olds and £7 for concessions. £2 will be added to each of these prices for tickets purchased on the day.
