Volvo Truck nation keeps on trucking for ten years

2009 marks the tenth anniversary of the founding of Volvo Truck Nation – the club for operators, drivers and enthusiasts - created by Volvo Trucks in response to requests from drivers who wanted an enthusiasts’ organisation that also catered for the professional trucker.
All members enjoy a wide range of benefits with a personalised membership card that offers access to discounts on official Volvo merchandise, a generous reduction on Truckfest tickets, an ever-changing selection of special offers and competitions and a free subscription to ‘Inside Lane’, Volvo’s unique magazine for truck operators, drivers and Volvo Truck Nation members.
They can also access the Volvo Truck Nation website’s ‘members-only’ areas, where they can find the latest news from Volvo, an online catalogue of official merchandise from exclusive Volvo branded clothing to FH16 pedal trucks and digital access to back issues of ‘Inside Lane’.
A feature called ‘Driver’s Seat’ is being developed on the website. Here, drivers will be able to check out stories from fellow professionals and Volvo’s own experts on topics such as health on the road. ‘Driver’s Seat’ will also be the place where drivers and enthusiasts can post truck pictures and exchange views on the industry.
Amazingly, Volvo Truck Nation annual membership starts at £9.99 – still the same price it was back in 1999 - although there is now a two-year package offering the second year half price for a total of £14.99. In addition to all the benefits mentioned, all new members also receive a free gift to welcome them to Volvo Truck Nation.
