All Daihatsus will now come with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty following a successful trial on the Terios mini-SUV and Sirion five-door supermini. Introduced on these two models this January, the initiative has proved such a success that Daihatsu has enjoyed a 38 per cent sales increase year-to-date.

Both will be available in September and – as numbers are limited to 100 of each model – Daihatsu is expecting a total sell-out by the end of the month.

Compact car specialist, Daihatsu, is enjoying a 53.3 per cent passenger car sales increase so far this year with no sign of any drop in demand. In fact, March – the UK’s biggest month for overall sales – showed a 60.8 per cent increase. Registrations were 1,024 units compared with 637 sales in March 2006, while Daihatsu’s year-to-date sales stand at 1,464 cars.
