Land Rover will introduce a new 'HST' derivative to complete the Freelander 2 range. On-sale from March 2008, the Freelander 2 HST will be available from £31,990 on the road. Features include a Sports Styling Pack with front and rear bumper aprons, side sill mouldings and a rear roof spoiler. Other enhancements include 19 inch alloy 10-spoke wheels with shadowchrome finish, leather seat facings, privacy glass and metallic paint.

Land Rover has achieved its third successive record sales year with 226,395 cars sold around the world in 2007. That's an increase of 17.6% on the previous year. It's the first time Land Rover, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, has driven through the two hundred thousand sales barrier.

The Land Rover Defender SVX was unveiled for the first time by Zara Phillips at the British Red Cross Ball in London earlier this evening. The world's first SVX has been donated by Land Rover UK to the British Red Cross to auction at the ball.

In an astonishing feat of endurance, intrepid Jaguar and Land Rover engineer, David Waide has run for over 28 hours, covered 103 miles, and climbed 30,000 feet around Mont-Blanc in aid of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). David, aged 50, set off with 2200 other competitors from over 40 countries on 24 August to participate in this unique event in the sport of ‘ultra running’. It started in Chamonix in France and passed through Courmayer in Italy and Champex in Switzerland before returning to Chamonix.
