Subaru Forester Turbo Diesel and Impreza Turbo Diesel to be unveiled at Paris Motor Show
Subaru’s highly-acclaimed new Boxer Turbo Diesel engine will appear for the first time in both the new Forester and Impreza at the 2008 Paris Motor Show (October 4-19). Meanwhile, other highlights include a Subaru Impreza WRX2008 replica plus the Subaru R1e and G4e electric cars. There will also be a 50th Anniversary Display showcasing the original Subaru 360 minicar.

Boxer Diesel Forester and Impreza unveiled at Paris Motor Show
Subaru’s highly-acclaimed new Boxer Diesel engine will appear for the first time in both the new Forester and Impreza at the 2008 Paris Motor Show (October 4-19). Meanwhile, other highlights include a Subaru Impreza WRX2008 replica plus the Subaru R1e and G4e electric cars. There will also be a 50th Anniversary Display showcasing the original Subaru 360 minicar. Subaru’s press conference takes place on the Subaru stand at 17.00 hours on Thursday, October 2, 2008.

The Vulcan restoration project has received a boost after a top Japanese VIP inspected the ’plane and gave his blessing to the campaign. Mr Ikuo Mori, President and Chief Executive Officer of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd inspected the Avro Vulcan XH558 Bomber at the 2008 Farnborough Air Show.

FHI Showcases Its Subaru Plug-in STELLA Concept
Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI), the maker of Subaru automobiles, today announced the successful development of its Subaru Plug-in STELLA Concept model, a prototype electric vehicle (EV). FHI will provide five units of the Plug-in STELLA Concept for use at the Hokkaido Toyako Summit to be held July 7 through 9, 2008. Four of the five will be used to transport government officials and other participants at the summit, while one vehicle will be displayed at the Environmental Showcase, an exhibition and demonstration area in the International Media Center, and it will also be available for a test drive.
