NissanAs part of its European launch of the new ‘urbanproof’ crossover QASHQAI, Nissan announces the QASHQAI Urban Challenge - the first ever pan-European free-riding competition of its kind. QASHQAI Urban Challenge is an urban free-riding competition where the world's best mountain bikers will compete in an urban environment to win 200,000 euros - the largest prize fund in this sport to date. Throughout May and June, five European cities will host each leg of the first series bringing together the best of the free-riding world as well as the uninitiated in each city where spectators can see the sport pushed to its limits.

Alfa RomeoItalian sporting car manufacturer, Alfa Romeo, has announced its sponsorship of this year’s World Superbike Championship (WSB) ahead of the first UK round at Donington Park this weekend (1 April). As the official sponsor of the WSB Championship, the sponsorship deal includes high profile track advertising at all 13 rounds in the 2007 race calendar. Alfa Romeo livery can be seen from bridges, corners and the pit lane, and Donington Park will have an Alfa Romeo special hospitality area for guests and VIPs.

MotorcyclesWhen the new Ducati 1098 was launched in Kyalami in South Africa, the bike was universally acclaimed by the UK and World press. Now that acclaim has turned into unprecedented interest and demand for Ducati’s latest Superbike. In the first few days of the year Ducati dealers had been taking orders at the rate of over 30 per day. Overall UK orders are currently over 500 and rising by the day, 60% of which are ‘S’ models with the rest made up of the standard model and the limited edition ‘Tricolore’. 1098S is sold out until late May/ early June; 1098 orders are now being taken for April, and customers wanting to purchase the limited addition ‘Tricolore’ will have to wait until May for delivery.
