Green transportation is the tag given to the future of transport. If anything that can consume less and do the same work as the conventional truck or bus can do, then that deserves to be shown the spotlight. Take for instance the Highly Sophisticated Transporter (HST), we're flattered by its design and engineering.

The expedition, known at the Cape to Cape, is set to depart North Cape (Norway) on 1 March and arrive in Cape Town (South Africa) on 1 July 2009. Volkswagen will next year become the first European automaker to enter the 1-tonne pick-up market with an original design. The pick-up was presented at IAA as a concept called SAR (Search and Rescue). It's a smart crew-cab 4x4 pick-up, giving a clear indication of what a 'lifestyle' VW pick-up will look like. More basic single-cab versions are expected to be part of the range.
