General Motors last week released photos and video of the production version of its electric car, the Chevrolet Volt. The vehicle was first introduced at the North American International Auto Show in 2007 and is an important element of General Motors' plan to develop a full-range of gas-friendly to gas-free vehicles.
Last year Volvo unveiled an innovative plug-in hybrid at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The ReCharge Concept is a specially designed Volvo C30 with individual electric wheel motors and batteries that can be charged via a regular electrical outlet. When fully charged the Volvo ReCharge Concept can be driven approximately 62 miles on battery power alone before the car’s four-cylinder 1.6 Flexifuel engine1 is needed to power the car and recharge the battery. The concept car also retains the Volvo C30’s lively and sporty drive thanks to an acceleration figure of 0-62mph in 9 seconds and a top speed of 100mph. Land Rover's 60th anniversary celebration continues with hosting the festivities held during the legendary Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance, also celebrating its 58th anniversary this year. Land Rover hosted automotive aficiandos from around the world with a Portraits of Adventure photo exhibition, displays of vintage Land Rovers, and its newest concept car, the LRX. Available video includes general views and commentary on vehicle highlights and the event in Monterey and Pebble Beach, California.
Eventing is the ultimate test of both horse and rider, and encompasses three disciplines: dressage, show jumping and cross country. It's also one of a handful of events where men and women compete on equal terms, proved by World Champion Zara Phillips. The second video from the MINI John Cooper Works series "Not Extreme enough?" has just been published on YouTube. Two Japanese tourists are visiting a zoo. Suddenly, a crazy guy jumps over a hedge into the tapir park of the zoo. He does some karate moves behind the tapir, followed by a prostate check.

Just like we received cryptic information on the Gina Light Visionary concept, BMW is at it again today. They have set up a huge structure at the Red Square in Moscow which hides something, something special. We guess it should be a grand unveiling of the BMW 7-Series sedan, but then, that's also not confirmed. The installation will give way on the 8th of July to something special and new. Have a look at the trailer that BMW has sent us and let us know what you think it would be. For those in and around Moscow, don't forget to visit the Red Square on the 8th.
