i think this may be a hoax. even in 1958, complex-curve windshields were popular as were heavy chrome bumpers. this entire car lacks detail and cohesive styling. it appears to be the crude work of a novice. more importantly, no mention of this car seems to exist prior to October 2006.

This is NOT a Plymouth concept car. It was built in Salt Lake City in the very early Sixties -- I remember seeing it being driven around here but with a different windshield setup. At least the body was based upon a Ford F-1 (check out the hood, guys!). The car was covered in an early Sixties issue of Car Craft or Rod& Custom, as part of show coverage, and attributed to the original builder here in Salt Lake City. It sat in a field in Draper, Utah, for a lot of years. But, in the end, this is a home-grown piece that originated in Salt Lake City, not at Plymouth!
