At the end of WW2 China made exact copies of the B-29.
When wheel bases get smaller (shorter) many designs tend to look alike, it just happens that way. give designers more wheel base to work with and watch out! Styles and variations will abound!

Just to name a few more examples, the new Sonata looking like a last generation Accord, and the previous generation Sonata looking like a Jaguar, the new Kia Sportage looking like a Volvo XC90.
